Yankee Air Museum Evening Air Show Series Kicks Off This Weekend With Canadian Forces Teams

The Yankee Air Museum is taking to the skies this upcoming weekend with the kickoff of the ‘Evening Air Show Series‘ taking place this Saturday and Sunday (June 12th & 13th) at the Willow Run Airport in Belleville, Michigan.  Back from the pandemic pause, the public is encouraged to attend this dynamic international aerial performance featuring performers from the North: the Canadian Forces Snowbirds and the CF-18 Demonstration Team! The Museum’s Historic Flying Aircraft Collection will also join in the fun, for a truly historic air display of warbirds.

“Families young and old will enjoy this show,” said Kevin Walsh, President and CEO of Yankee Air Museum. “The Canadian Forces Snowbirds are back and ready to ‘wow’ crowds here in Ypsilanti! The Snowbirds are the Royal Canadian Air Force’s flight demonstration team and flies the CT-114 Tutor aircraft in unique aerial formations featuring nine jets”

The Evening Air Show will begin at 5:00pm, with gates opening at 4:00pm. The event is a “Drive-In” format. Spectators are encouraged to bring their own non-alcoholic beverages, food, and chairs to sit outside of their vehicles. Vehicle tickets are $85 per vehicle, and is limited to a 500 vehicle capacity. A number of portable washrooms and sanitation stations will be available onsite. Each vehicle ticket allows guests to bring as many people as you can (legally) hold in your car! If you missed Friday Night Flights last year, don’t miss this year’s opportunity to see the Yankee Air Museum’s warbirds take to the skies.  Yankee Air Museum’s Historic Flying Aircraft Collection featuring the B-17 “Yankee Lady”, B-25 “Rosie’s Reply”, C-47 “Hairless Joe”, and UH-1 Huey Greyhound will join the Snowbirds and the CF-18 Demo Team in this amazing array of aerial entertainment.
