Tour Using QR Technology at Wildwood Aviation Museum

cityjet-qr-codeAs mobile technology is fast becoming the communications and learning medium of choice, integrating QR technology into an aviation museum experience will without a doubt improve the visitors experience. Naval Air Station (NAS) Wildwood Aviation Museum is a non-profit museum located at the Cape May Airport inside historic Hangar #1. Commissioned in April 1943, NAS Wildwood served as an active dive-bomber squadron training facility during World War II. Today Hangar #1 has been restored and transformed into an Aviation Museum that houses a number of aircraft, engines, special exhibits, and educational interactive displays.

NAS Wildwood has installed QR codes throughout Hangar #1. Visitors , by scanning the code with a smartphone, will be able to find out details and additional information about the Hangar’s interactive displays, exhibits and aircraft. Wildwood Aviation Museum is believed to be the only aviation museum in the United States utilizing this technology.

The Naval Air Station Wildwood Aviation Museum offers guided tours to groups and schools by reservation. The tours are tailored to accommodate the age and interests of the group. Call the museum office at (609)886-8787 with any questions or to make a reservation.
