The Flying Heritage & Combat Armor Museum is hosting a Fly Day event on Saturday August 24th which should see a number of their rarer exhibits take to the skies, including the only flying original Focke-Wulf Fw 190 in the world! WWII-era German ground vehicles will also be in action. Below is the press release with further details…

Join us for a fun and exciting day of flying and vehicle demonstrations from the machines that operated during WWII. Bring the entire family for a history lesson come to life! See warbirds take flight including the Focke-Wulf 190 A-5, Messerschmitt Bf 109 E-3 (Emil), Supermarine Spitfire Mk.Vc, Fieseler Fi 156 C-2 Storch, and Hawker Hurricane Mk.XIIA. Take a photo in the American Half-Track for a $5 cash donation to the musuem! Painting tickets are available at an additional cost.

PARKING:
Parking and Shuttle services is available at Rockwell Collins located at 11404 Commando Rd, Everett, WA 98204. The first shuttle begins operating at 9:45am and the last shuttle departs the museum at 4:00pm. Catch your bus back to the parking lot at the end of the FHCAM driveway where it dropped you off.
PAINTING:
Create your own unique souvenir! Choose one of two paintings to make your own. For this class we will be painting on homemade wood pallets that are 10.5X16. You will receive step by step instruction by local artist Elani Moody your painting. However, artistic free spirits are welcome to enhance their painting or choose other colors if they so wish. Everything you need to create your masterpiece will be provided for you. Including the use of an apron. Painting tickets are an additional $40, must be purchased in advance and will not be available at the door.
