United Fuel Cells

VWoC Volunteer01Vintage Wings of Canada (VWoC), of Gatineau, Quebec has put out an urgent call for additional volunteers to help in staging the largest warbird air show in the country, Wings Over Gatineau-Ottawa. The show is scheduled for the weekend of September 14-15 2013 and due to the ever-increasing size of the crowds and aerial displays that this growing event entails, VWoC is requesting help from those in the warbird community to ensure that the event can continue to grow and provide the spectators a friendly, safe memorable and enjoyable experience. Volunteer assignments are available for all levels of expertise (or lack thereof) and availability, so even if yo can just volunteer during the show and/or don’t know anything particular about warbirds, VWoC welcomes the assistance of you and your family and friends.

VWoC seeks willing and committed volunteers to help them celebrate the history of aviation in Canada. All one has to do is click on this VOLUNTEER LINK and fill out the online form, then click Submit. Be sure and mention that it is for the Air Show Volunteer Team in the “Availability” box. When you click Submit, you will instantly become one of an elite cadre of Volunteers who will help them bring off a world class aviation event this September.

As VWoC states: “We are in need of men and women, young and old, who can assist us with crowd control, aircraft security, field maintenance, sales, recycling and the many other jobs necessary to ensure a safe and exciting show. Of course there will be a training session with our Vintage Wings of Canada staff, most of whom are volunteers like you. This is a serious job that’s lots of fun, so bring your commitment and we will bring the rest.

Vintage Wings of Canada team members are the envy of aviation enthusiasts the world over. Our reputation is built on the friendliness, commitment and hard work of hundreds of truly committed volunteers. They are the backbone of who we are. Why not come out for these two events and see if you want to bring even more commitment to the airfield. It’s a great way to fulfill your volunteer needs, have fun, meet interesting people and truly say you are part of a world class endeavour. Studies have shown that Vintage Wings volunteers have greater success with the opposite sex, get the best employment opportunities, look better, feel better and have better luck at the casino than all other types. Really.. studies have proven it!

VWoC Volunteer08OK, maybe that’s not true, but you will get a free t-shirt that will make you the envy of your friends, get fed with gourmet burgers, haut dogues (that’s a gourmet hot dog), be refreshed with drinks and water throughout the day, and come away with a new sense of pride and self-fulfillment. Be part of a team of volunteers that includes some of the countries finest aviators including Canadian astronauts Chris Hadfield and Jeremy Hansen. So, step up to the volunteer line and let’s get the show on the road!

Getting a free Team T-shirt, free food and behind the scenes access to the event? Where do we sign up?!? Oh yeah, right HERE. Seriously, this looks to be a win-win opportunity if you’re a warbird enthusiast, so consider becoming a part of the VWoC Air Show Team.
