CAF’s Henry B. Tippie National Aviation Education Center Update

Aircorps Art Dec 2019

The construction on the Henry B. Tippie National Aviation Education Center (NAEC) continues to move ahead. Over the last couple of weeks, significant progress has been made on adding the siding and roofing; putting in window glass for the front of the building, and framing the rooms throughout the facility is underway. As exciting as it is to see the building come into focus, what is even more exciting is the progress in creating the educational programs that will be delivered within the facility. Just this week, Grand Prairie I.S.D. announced that the high school students participating in the J-3 Cub project will be able to return to work on the restoration project in the newly restored restoration hangar. In the coming months more details about the educational programming offered will be available online.
