The Collings Foundation has just announced that their Douglas A-1E Skyraider will be joining the Wings of Freedom Tour for the California part of the tour from April 26 through June 10*. They are now booking 25-minute flight experiences at visits around California (see schedule at: https://www.collingsfoundation.org/…/category/wings-of-fre…/)

Flights are $900 per person for the cockpit seat and $450 per person for the each of the four rear seats. The participant in the cockpit will not be able to take the controls – it is only a ride. For the flight to occur, there must be at least one passenger in the front with two in the back, OR four in the back. Much like with their B-25 and P-51, the Collings Foundation can fly flights in the Skyraider at any time during the day. Please note that passenger compartment access requires passengers to be able-bodied, as you will need to climb, unassisted, onto the wing and up the side of the fuselage.
