Plane Perfect!

How many of you have tried to clean that stubborn grease and oily gunk off an automobile or aircraft? Doubtless many of you have, and as tough as it is to get the job done well, the cleaning agents available are often just as nasty to your health and the environment. Well, now something else is available, which will help you clean your project… beautifully… and without the unpleasant residual affects upon your health and home. Plane Perfect has the answers you may be looking for. WarbirdsNews is proud to have Plane Perfect as a sponsor, and we thought you might like to hear a little about them. Their products are designed for aircraft, but work just as well on your car or boat.

The video below shows some of their products in action, appropriately at work cleaning and rejuvenating the paint for an SNJ-6 Texan with a 45 year old paint scheme which had faded to a matte finish. The results are nothing short of breathtaking!

The basis of Plane Perfect’s products is twofold; Safety and Protection.

They have formulated all of their products with the safety of the aircraft in mind. There are tougher products on the market, but they believe none are as safe as Plane Perfect’s. Most other available products typically include caustic elements that contain petroleum distillates to remove oil and grime. Plane Perfect’s Buddha Belly degreaser, for instance, is citrus and detergent based. It will remove all but the toughest of grime, but is safe for paint and virtually pH neutral.

The photos below show how Buddha Belly can work wonders.

Chris Thomsen, Plane Perfect’s Chief Technical Officer stated, “This is using Buddha Belly, our degreaser product, on the belly of a friends Cessna 195. You can see the before and after, with one pass! Couple neat things about Buddha Belly – 1. Its cutting agent is citrus and it’s cleaning comes from detergents, not petroleum distillates. Second, almost everyone I know has gunk on their rivets all over their plane, not just the belly. This is especially true if you have a round motor like the warbird boys. Buddha Belly cleans those rivet heads with one pass! Follow with Wing Wipe and you have a shiny and clean surface. Treat with Perfect Seal and Protect and you won’t ever have to worry about build up again!”

The second hallmark of Plane Perfect’s lineup is protection. Their signature product, Perfect Seal and Protect, is specially formulated for the high UV index environment that aircraft are exposed to at altitude. It is also a synthetic nano-spec formula, containing nothing like petroleum products to “cut” or dilute it which consequently might harm the overall protection of your plane. Typical automotive-type products simply do not work for long periods of time, and in particular on the single stage paint jobs most warbird owners have.

Warbird owners in particular have very rare and high dollar investments. Plane Perfect products are targeted towards individuals that want the very best products on the market. All the more reason that owners of rare aircraft should use Plane Perfect is the skyrocketing cost of paint and/or total restoration. The reputable shops that work on such aircraft with the knowledge and skill it takes to complete successfully are fast disappearing. The remaining paint shops often have costs prohibitively expensive for longtime owners of warbirds purchased before the modern pricing surge. A typical paint job on a mid-sized, single-engine warbird, for instance, can run higher than US$30k! Plane Perfect will extend and enhance the life of your warbird.

Don’t just take our word for it though. There are many happy users who were willing to write in their testimonials as you will see below…
