American Aviator Edward O’Hare Was Born On This Day In 1914

American aviator Edward O’Hare was born on this day in 1914.  O’Hare earned his stripes in the Navy, being awarded that division’s first ever title of flying ace and garnering the prestigious Medal of Honor for his service in World War II.  He became the namesake of Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport on September 19, 1949.
