Heritage Flight Museum’s 2013 Warbird Weekend June 15-16



logo-1The Heritage Flight Museum, located at Bellingham International Airport in Bellingham, Washington will be hosting its annual Warbird Weekend event June 15th and 16th.

Saturday the museum will be closed as preparations are made for the weekend’s festivities, which kick off Saturday night at 5:30PM with the “Greatest Generation Dinner/Dance,” featuring big band music and the swing hits of the 40s. Guests are encouraged to wear their best WWII-era attire and there will be an auction to benefit the museum held at the event.

WW010Gates will open at 9AM for an EAA-sponsored pancake breakfast and the air show begins at 10AM on the Heritage Flight Museum ramp of the airport and will include many warbirds on static display as well as flights being conducted throughout the day, both solo and in formation, featuring craft from the museum’s collection as well as visiting warbirds from the WWII, Korean and Viet Nam war eras.

Visitors are encouraged to get an up close look at the warbirds on display, bring their cameras and questions for the pilots and veterans who will be talking about their experiences.
