National Naval Aviation Museum Live Online: April 7th – Doolittle Raid

United Fuel Cells

With the global shutdown in full swing, many aviation museums are pursuing virtual outreach via online lectures and discussions. As part of this effort, the National Naval Aviation Museum will be conducting Live sessions on Facebook on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 11am Central Standard Time (CST) for their History Up Close Series.
First on the block will be a discussion by the National Naval Aviation Museum’s historian, Hill Godspeed who will be talking about Naval Aviation and its connection to the famed Doolittle Raid on Japan. This is perfect timing given that the anniversary of the raid is coming in mid-April. The discussion will take place on April 7th at 11am CST. Click HERE to Watch
This event will be somewhat interactive, as interested parties can join in the discussion by submitting their questions ahead of time on the museum’s Facebook discussion page for the event (Click HERE)
Furthermore, the museum will be holding a Live Facebook discussion about their Grumman F3F naval fighter on Thursday, April 9th at 11am. Lieutenant General Duane Thiessen, USMC (Ret.) President & CEO of the Naval Aviation Museum Foundation will be leading this particular event. Again, interested parties can submit questions for the lecturer on the discussion thread for the event (Click HERE).
